This site is dedicated to Michelle D’Auray, in memory of her passing on September 26, 2017. She is deeply missed by her friends, family, and her husband of 15 wonderful years.

Michelle was the strongest woman I’ve ever known. She was kind, loving, and always greeted everyone she passed on the street. This is her story of overcoming her struggles with weight and finding freedom.

Determined to improve her health, Michelle underwent surgery for her weight. She chose gastric bypass, a sleeve procedure that would reduce her stomach capacity and help her lose weight and lead a healthier life. Her freedom came when she lost half her weight and could fit into regular clothes, which she absolutely loved. She also enjoyed sitting anywhere in restaurants or movie theatres. Her highlight was finally being able to go on the rides at the PNE. I had never seen her so happy—except on our wedding day (another story for later)—she grinned from ear to ear all day.

She was an avid Geocacher and had fun with friends and her Mom finding over 600 finds. Check out the Geocaching Site to find out more about the game.
